Job Title: Paint/Assembly Specialist (2nd Shift)
Department: Paint/Assembly
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for loading, cleaning, painting, curing, final inspection, unloading, and packaging and delivery of finished painted products to the customer by using Applied Laser Technologies paint specifications along with the correct components and parts necessary to produce the product. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to reading and interpreting blueprints, positions, parts, and ensuring the correct fit by performing repairs as needed and reporting errors in the assembly line by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum output of jobs.*
  2. Ensures a high level of proficiency across all operations within a focused team environment.*
  3. Processes product through the powder coating paint system including cleaning, painting, and curing operations quickly and efficiently with strong attention to detail and quality.*
  4. Ensures parts are quickly processed, counted, stacked, and/or packaged in the best possible fashion for the following operation.*
  5. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to department lead or supervisor.*
  6. Maintains awareness of estimated production standard processing times and alerts supervisor when time is unachievable.*
  7. Ensures that parts are correct according to the print and/or traveler and paint quality specifications.*
  8. Monitors machine operation and quality of parts and makes machine adjustments as necessary.*
  9. Operates all required inspection equipment and tools to measure and document quality data for each part or batch.*
  10. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
  11. Ensures the proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  12. Packages completed parts quickly and in a way that ensures minimum damage during transit.*
  13. Ensures that parts are quickly delivered to the following operation or shipping as required.*
  14. Contributes strongly and consistently on a daily basis to the paint team to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.*
  15. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases and cost reduction strategies.*

Education/Experience:

Job Title: Laser Technician (2nd shift)
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Set ups, operates, and adjusts all laser equipment while maintaining acceptable quality and productivity standards by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Loads/unloads materials as necessary to keep laser equipment running at maximum levels.*
  2. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput of raw and cut materials.*
  3. Prepares machines and material for staged jobs.*
  4. Ensures that parts are quickly deburred, counted, and stacked in the best possible fashion for the following operation.*
  5. Ensures that parts are quickly delivered to the following operation.*
  6. Monitors machine operation and quality of cut, and adjusts machines as necessary to ensure acceptable quality.*
  7. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
  8. Verifies dimensional and aesthetic conformance of components being produced.*
  9. Trains and oversees the work produced by laser operators, and communicates issues/concerns to the Supervisor.*
  10. Performs assigned tasks at a rate which achieves maximum departmental throughput.*
  11. Responsible for proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  12. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to the Department Supervisor.*
  13. Participates in developing new, efficient, and effective processes for new as well as existing product lines.
  14. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
  15. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases, and cost reduction strategies.

Job Title: Material Handler (2nd shift)
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for ensuring that production personnel and equipment are consistently supplied with materials and the handling and organization of those materials by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains an awareness of what materials, production personnel, and equipment will be needed and ensures that they are all delivered early enough to prevent any lapse in productivity.*
  2. Loads and unloads materials, pallets, and other items from equipment, trucks, and storage areas utilizing forklifts, pallet jackets, or any other means necessary.*
  3. Ensures that materials are clearly labeled before taking them to their destination.*
  4. Guarantees to the best of your ability that materials are going to the correct location.*
  5. Makes sure parts are quickly delivered to the following operation.*
  6. Ensures proper separation, handling, and organization of all scrap materials.*
  7. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to your department lead or supervisor.*
  8. Handles the proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*

Summary: Responsible for creating and loading programs, setups, tooling, and operating all Saw-Mill-Drill-Department equipment with a high level of quality and productivity by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput of jobs.*
  2. Writes and/or loads both simple and complex programs, selects appropriate tooling/blades, develops fixturing, and takes any other steps necessary to set up assigned jobs.*
  3. Ensures that parts are quickly processed, counted, and stacked in the best possible fashion.*
  4. Maintains awareness of estimated production standards processing time and alerts the Supervisor when time is unachieveable.*
  5. Ensures that parts are quickly delivered.*
  6. Ensures that parts are correct according to the print and/or traveler.*

Summary: Responsible for fit, tack, weld, grind, and polishing of products to meet internal and external specifications by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Adjusts weld settings as appropriate for the specific application.*
  2. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput.*
  3. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
  4. Verifies dimensional conformance of components being produced.*
  5. Responsible for proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  6. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to the department lead or supervisor.*
  7. Responsible for the reliable maintenance of minimum productivity requirements.*
  8. Participates in developing new, efficient, and effective grinding and polishing processes for new and existing product lines.
  9. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
  10. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency and productivity increases and cost reduction strategies.
  11. Complies with safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

Specific requirements:

1) Weld:

  • Job traveler verification. Ensure supplied parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Use correct filler in joints.
  • Perform required dimensional inspections.
  • Properly identify completed units with specified marking tools.

2) Grind:

  • Grind/DA parts according to ALT and customer specifications.

3) QC Inspection:

  • Perform required dimensional inspections.
  • Make adjustments to parts that do not comply with dimensional requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections for weld porosity and surface finish.
  • Make corrections as needed to comply with surface finish criteria.
  • Complete assembly and pack to specified requirements.
