Job Title: 2nd Shift General Assembly
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for final operations, finishing, final inspection, and packaging of panels to customer specifications by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput of jobs.*
  2. Processes panels through final operations quickly, efficiently, and with high attention to detail and quality.*
  3. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to your department lead or supervisor.*
  4. Maintains awareness of estimated production standard processing times and alerts supervisor when time is unachievable.*
  5. Ensures that parts are correcting according to the print and/or traveler.*
  6. Monitors machine operation and quality of parts and makes machine adjustments as necessary.*
  7. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
  8. Ensures the proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  9. Packages completed panels quickly and in a way that ensures minimum damage during transit.*
  10. Ensures that parts are quickly processed, counted, and stacked in the best possible fashion for the following operation.*
  11. Ensures that parts are quickly delivered to the following operation.*
  12. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
  13. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases and cost reduction strategies.
  14. Ensures absolute compliance with safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

Job Title: K Cell Specialist
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for fit, tack, weld, grind, and polishing of products to meet internal and external specifications by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Adjusts weld settings as appropriate for the specific application.*
  2. Sets up work area for efficient processing and maximum throughput.*
  3. Reads, understands, and implements all information and instructions included on job travelers and technical drawings.*
  4. Verifies dimensional conformance of components being produced.*
  5. Responsible for proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  6. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to the department lead or supervisor.*
  7. Responsible for the reliable maintenance of minimum productivity requirements.*
  8. Participates in developing new, efficient, and effective grinding and polishing processes for new and existing product lines.
  9. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
  10. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency and productivity increases and cost reduction strategies.
  11. Complies with safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

Specific requirements:

1) Weld:

  • Job traveler verification. Ensure supplied parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Use correct filler in joints.
  • Perform required dimensional inspections.
  • Properly identify completed units with specified marking tools.

2) Grind:

  • Grind/DA parts according to ALT and customer specifications.

3) QC Inspection:

  • Perform required dimensional inspections.
  • Make adjustments to parts that do not comply with dimensional requirements.
  • Perform visual inspections for weld porosity and surface finish.
  • Make corrections as needed to comply with surface finish criteria.
  • Complete assembly and pack to specified requirements.
     

Job Title: 2nd Shift Material Handler
Department: Production
Reports To: Production Supervisor
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Summary: Responsible for ensuring that production personnel and equipment are consistently supplied with materials and the handling and organization of those materials by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Maintains an awareness of what materials, production personnel, and equipment will be needed and ensures that they are all delivered early enough to prevent any lapse in productivity.*
  2. Loads and unloads materials, pallets, and other items from equipment, trucks, and storage areas utilizing forklifts, pallet jackets, or any other means necessary.*
  3. Ensures that materials are clearly labeled before taking them to their destination.*
  4. Guarantees to the best of your ability that materials are going to the correct location.*
  5. Makes sure parts are quickly delivered to the following operation.*
  6. Ensures proper separation, handling, and organization of all scrap materials.*
  7. Identifies visual and dimensional defects and ensures that potential problems are effectively communicated to your department lead or supervisor.*
  8. Handles the proper completion of all manufacturing and inspection documentation as required by company policies.*
  9. Contributes to any team with which you are working to ensure consistent product and cooperative communication.
  10. Identifies and/or cooperates with potential opportunities for efficiency/productivity increases and cost reduction strategies.
  11. Ensures absolute compliance with safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

  • Level 1
    • Quickly & effectively respond to production material needs

    • Demonstrated organizational skills as related to material classification & storage as well as preparing appropriate material queues for production
    • Demonstrated understanding of the priority balance between production support and secondary material handling responsibilities; especially those that might require leaving the forklift unattended.
